Vudu Marbella: What the Dinner Show Is Really Like
· Updated:
Let's be clear from the start: Vudu is not a nightclub. It's a restaurant with a show, in Puerto Banús, where dinner comes with live DJ sets, saxophone, percussion and dancers. It closes at 01:00 most nights and 02:00 at weekends, so it's the first half of a night out rather than the whole thing. If that's what you're after, it does it well, and it's open now, every night of the week.
Where it is
Vudu is in Edificio Gray D'Albion 1B, in Puerto Banús. Being in the port is a big part of its appeal: you can walk in from a drink on the front line, and once dinner is over, the clubs in Banús are a short walk away. If you're coming from elsewhere in Marbella, a taxi to Puerto Banús is the easy option, especially as you'll probably be heading somewhere else afterwards.
What Playfood x Experience means
Vudu sums itself up as Playfood x Experience. The food is Mediterranean-inspired with twists, there's a list of signature cocktails, and the entertainment runs around the tables while you eat rather than on a stage you watch from a distance. Here's what's part of the evening:
- Food: Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a twist
- Drinks: signature cocktails
- Music: live DJ sets
- Live acts: saxophone and percussion
- Show: dancers performing during service
The mood builds as the night goes on. Early tables get a calmer dinner; later sittings get more of the show and more energy in the room. If you're celebrating, book later rather than earlier.

Opening hours
Vudu opens every night from 20:00. On Fridays and Saturdays it closes at 02:00; from Sunday to Thursday it closes at 01:00. The kitchen runs until 01:00, so on weekends you can eat fairly late and still catch the last hour of the show.
A word on timing, since this is where plans usually go wrong. Marbella eats late, and a 22:00 or 22:30 table is a good middle ground: dinner is still relaxed, the show is warming up, and you finish with time to walk to a club in the port. Book 20:00 if you want a calmer meal or you're with people who'd rather be home early. Midweek, remember the doors close at 01:00, so if you want a long night, a Friday or Saturday gives you an extra hour inside before moving on.
| Days | Open | Kitchen |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday to Thursday | 20:00–01:00 | Until 01:00 |
| Friday and Saturday | 20:00–02:00 | Until 01:00 |

Who it's for, and who it isn't
Vudu suits birthdays, hen and stag dinners where the group wants a show without the full club, couples who want more than a quiet meal, and anyone visiting Marbella out of season who wants something lively from 20:00. It's not for people who want to dance until six, and it isn't the place for a quick bite before something else: the show is the point. If half your group wants dinner and the other half only wants to dance, book Vudu for the meal and meet the others in the port afterwards; that tends to keep everyone happy.
What to wear
Vudu doesn't publish a dress code in the sources we checked. Dress for a good restaurant in Puerto Banús and the clubs afterwards: smart-casual, proper shoes, no beachwear. That way you won't need to change if the night continues.
Where to go after
Since Vudu closes at 01:00 or 02:00, most groups move on. Two open options in Puerto Banús are close by. TIBU Banús says it's open every night till late, with an indoor club and a big open-air terrace. Newscafé, on the front line of the port, opens seven nights and closes at 03:00 from Sunday to Thursday and at 04:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. If you'd rather keep the dinner-and-show format, Motel Particulier on the Golden Mile runs until 03:00 every day.
