Golden Mile Nightlife: Where Dinner Turns into a Club in Marbella

· Updated:

Puerto Banús is where you go clubbing. The Golden Mile is where you go to dinner and somehow end up dancing at 3am. The venues here are restaurant first and club second, and the best nights start with a table at 9pm rather than a queue at 1am. If that sounds like your kind of night, this is the stretch to know.

What the Golden Mile is

It's the popular name for the stretch of coast between Marbella town and Puerto Banús. It grew around the Marbella Club Hotel, which Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe opened in the 1950s with just 20 bedrooms, and Puente Romano next door. Today it's where many of Marbella's most expensive hotels and homes are, and a handful of places where dinner runs straight into a party.

Momento

In Villa Parra, Momento splits into three spaces: restaurant, patio and club. Dinner first, and as midnight approaches the club takes over and runs until the early hours. Concierge guides describe the music as techno, tech house and melodic house, with a smart and elegant door and no sportswear. It's open into the autumn; its Halloween party is on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Motel Particulier

In Urbanización Marbellamar, Motel Particulier opens every day from 7:30pm to 3am. It's built as a whole evening rather than a dinner: restaurant, then music and entertainment, then drinks and dancing, with a night club, a Red Room and a members' club on site. Because it opens every day, it's one of the few places on the coast where a Tuesday can turn into a proper night out.

Puente Romano: NYX, COYA Club and the late bars

Puente Romano has more going on after dark than most people realise. NYX is a private lounge behind a discreet door inside GAIA, all deep reds and golds, open Wednesday to Saturday from 10pm to 4am, with dinner on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:45pm. COYA Club, Thursday to Saturday from 9pm to 4am, goes from dinner to a live show and then DJs. For a later drink without the club, Bar La Plaza runs until 3am with DJ-led music, and Claude's has live music on Fridays and Saturdays until 3am. Tables at NYX are booked through the resort's online reservations.

Bonbonniere, in summer

Just above the Golden Mile, on the Istán road near the mosque, Bonbonniere took over the old Olivia Valere building in 2026: an open-air DJ terrace from 10pm and a tech house club until 6am. It's summer only, so it's closed now. Next door, the LØV Olivia Valere restaurant keeps opening at weekends through the winter.

The rest of Puente Romano

If NYX and COYA Club are the late options, the resort has plenty for the first part of the night: Nobu, COYA's restaurant and Cipriani for dinner, and Pica Pica with DJs, Caribbean cocktails and shisha until 1am. It's the one spot on the Golden Mile where you can do dinner, drinks and a club without getting back in a car.

And at the town end: Taok

Where the Golden Mile meets Marbella town, Taok on Avenida del Mar is a different kind of night: a straight nightclub, Wednesday to Sunday, with Latin, reggaeton and commercial music and an 18+ door. It's a good last stop if your group wants to dance rather than linger over dinner.

One practical note: these places are spread along the coast road, not on one street. Plan to take a taxi between them, and book the dinner table, because that's what gets you the good spot when the music starts.

Three ways to do a Golden Mile night

  • Thursday: dinner and show at COYA Club from 9pm, and stay until the DJs finish at 4am.
  • Friday or Saturday: book the 8:45pm dinner at NYX and you're already inside when the lounge opens at 10pm.
  • Any night of the week: Motel Particulier from 7:30pm, dinner into dancing until 3am.

In summer, add Bonbonniere to the end of any of them: the club runs until 6am.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Golden Mile walkable at night?

Not really. The venues are spread along the coast road between Marbella and Puerto Banús, and Bonbonniere is up the Istán road. Take a taxi between stops.

Is NYX open in winter?

Yes. NYX opens Wednesday to Saturday from 10pm to 4am, and COYA Club Thursday to Saturday from 9pm, all year.

How do I book a table at NYX?

Through Puente Romano's online reservations, or message us with the date and group size and we'll sort it.

Do I have to have dinner to get in?

Not necessarily, but dinner is the easiest way to get a good spot. Momento and Motel Particulier turn from restaurant into club as the night goes on, and NYX serves dinner on Fridays and Saturdays before the lounge opens.

What should I wear?

Smart. Momento is described as smart and elegant with no sportswear, and Bonbonniere asks for smart-chic with no caps, sandals or beachwear. Dress for a nice dinner and you'll be fine for the club.
